Almond paste – Marzipan
Almond paste, also known as marzipan, is a traditional European treat made with finely ground blanched almonds, egg whites and sugar, nothing more.
For cakes, roll out the paste using icing sugar, then drape it over the cake. You can also cut out shapes using a variety of cutters.
Add a few drops of food colouring to the almond paste to give it some colour!
