Pure saffron
Saffron, sometimes called "red gold" is the most expensive and most adulterated spice in the world. It is obtained by extraction and dehydration of three red stigmas of the flower of a crocus. It takes about 100,000 flowers to produce only 500 grams of saffron! Very fragrant, this spice has a fragrant taste, warm and sometimes bitter.
